I have lived in Culpeper County for over 25 years. I am running for the Board of Supervisors because I believe it's time for a change. Culpeper County residents deserve transparency and to have their voices heard. I was to represent the constituents of the Jefferson District and help rein in the runaway growth.
I am the owner of Saddle Ridge Farm here in Culpeper. On the farm, we raise non-GMO chicken, pork, and eggs. We also raise grass-fed/finished beef.
I am also a commercial real estate developer. People often mistake my occupation as a commercial developer for being a residential developer. This could not be more opposite.
I grew up in Clifton, Virginia, in the 70s, back when it looked like Culpeper. When I came back from college in the mid-80s, I witnessed runaway growth. By 1989, I couldn't take it anymore and moved to southern Fauquier County, and then 25 years ago, I moved onto my present-day farm in Culpeper that my father bought in 1970. Today, I am witnessing the same growth pattern that I saw in the 1980s in Fairfax County. I can't sit in good conscience and watch the same pattern in growth without getting involved. Runaway growth is one of my primary motivations in running for public office for the first time in my life.
I will be holding meet-and-greet events to discuss my plans for the county board of supervisors locally in Culpeper, Virginia.
